I'm a Senior Developer working at Neumont
University in Salt Lake City, Utah. I enjoy developing software and have
been around this block for over 7 years. For more professional info, check my Résumé
In my free time I like hanging out with Carol (my other half), coding, or
mountain biking. Feel free to check out my personal blog
and photo gallery.
PLiska Image Resizer
I made this software because I needed a free app that would easily resize images
in a batch mode (all at once). I've been impressed with the success of the resizer
reflected in the amount of downloads. Click here to download the
Resizer.
RestrictedTextArea
I decided to upload a control that I've used in many ASP.NET applications. In short,
it's a CompositeControl that contains a MultiLine TextBox with client and server-side
text length restricting capabilities. Click here to read
more about it or to download the source code.
Links
- Links that I would like others to check out:
- Computer Science Related Links:
- Applications: (they're all free)
- Firefox add-on: Firebug. I use it heavily to debug html and CSS. It also allows
you to edit CSS styles on the fly! Very powerful.
- Firefox add-on: DownThemAll!. Speeds up your downloads by splitting the file
in chunks and downloading each chunk in a separate http request. It really works!
- Firefox add-on: Live HTTP Headers. See the HTTP headers of the pages you visit
- Firefox add-on:
Web Developer. I use it mostly to resize my browser window to 1024x768 pixels
to see how a low res monitor sees my web pages.
- Notepad2: Don't you just hate
how Notepad does not have a good undo history, how its word wrap view is buggy,
and it has no code highlighting? Well all of that is a thing of the past with Notepad2.
I used to prefer
Notepad++ but I Notepad2 looks a lot cleaner.
- WinSCP: Easy to use Windows
GUI application I use to transfer files to/from a Linux box through SCP or SFTP.
- .NET Reflector:
Great tool for analyzing and decompiling .NET assemblies.
- paint.net: Photoshop look
alike. I love how it can adjust the colors of your photos. It can make the colors
in your photo be like the colors you saw when you took it. It's open source and
made with .NET .
